First Baptist Church Rayville is excited to welcome Darcie Palmer in view of a call to serve as our Children’s & Family Minister.

We invite you to take a few minutes to get to know Darcie, learn about her ministry experience, and join us in praying as we seek the Lord’s direction together.

A Heart for Children & Families

Darcie has a heart for helping children know and follow Jesus while partnering with families and equipping volunteers to serve well.

Her ministry experience has included teaching children and preteens, leading small groups, coordinating camps and special events, training volunteers, welcoming and checking in families, and helping create safe, engaging environments where children can learn and grow.

Darcie describes her approach to ministry as collaborative, with an emphasis on building strong teams among staff and volunteers and creating meaningful experiences for children and their families.

Ministry Experience

Mobberly Baptist Church | Longview, Texas

Darcie currently assists in the leadership and administration of the children’s ministry at Mobberly. She helps coordinate volunteers and training, facilitates the midweek Kids Life ministry, assists families with check-in, and leads the preteen ministry, including camps, summer events, Impact Week, and Sunday small groups. She has also taught preteens on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, wrote and led Bible studies, trained volunteers, helped oversee children’s ministry security and check-in, and planned preteen and church-wide events.

Woodland Hills Baptist Church | Longview, Texas

During her time at Woodland Hills, Darcie led small groups and children’s church classes, helped lead a Wednesday night children’s ministry, planned children’s and family events, taught in the summer camp program, and served at Kids Camp, youth camp, and Disciple Now.

Come Meet Darcie

We invite you to come meet Darcie and get to know her as she comes in view of a call to serve as our Children’s & Family Minister.

Saturday | 2:00–4:00 PM
Darcie will be in the WMU Banquet Room for a casual meet-and-greet. Bring the kids, stop by, and spend some time getting to know her. We’ll have a Q&A time around 3:00 PM.

Sunday Morning
During our 9:00 AM Worship Service, Darcie will share her testimony and heart for ministry with our church family. At the close of the service, the church will vote by secret ballot on calling Darcie to serve as our Children’s & Family Minister.
